What I love this December

It’s me! I’m back with my December favorites.

1. These EXTREMELY CUTE reindeer sheets

I got these last year at Target and they are one of my favorite seasonal decorations. Not only are they fun to look at, but they’re so soft and warm. And because they’re reindeer and not something more specifically Christmasy, I keep them on my bed until spring. Since these were from last Christmas season, I couldn’t find the exact same ones, but a very similar set (in both pattern and price) is available here.

2. My Playmobil advent calendar

This is not a joke. I have loved Playmobils since I was little, and my mom started the tradition of giving me a Playmobil advent calendar when I went to college. It’s possible that my roommates get more excited about opening the toy each day than I do. Here’s a couple options for calendars for next year on Amazon.

3. Penguin pajamas

Ok. These are life-changing, and they’re only $10 at Walmart. They’re a thinner material than full-on flannel PJ sets and they are way cheaper. I wore them to a costume Christmas party (as seen in the picture above – Nate was a reindeer) and it was the coziest I have been at a social gathering in my life. I wear them to bed every night now.

4. Our college house Christmas tree

This tree is quite possibly the cutest one I’ve ever had. We got it at Slaughter Tree Farm in Floyd. I’d never picked out my own tree straight from the farm before, so it was a fun experience. I would definitely recommend. And when they told us they charge by height and not width, we took it upon ourselves to find the fattest one possible. We definitely succeeded, because it’s so fat that it looks lopsided. But I love it.

5. Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist

This book rocks! It’s taken me a while to read it, and I’m still not finished, but it’s all about slowing down amidst a society that tells us we need to “do” to achieve. A great read to soak in over Christmas break, when we have some extra thinking time. When I’m done, I’ll let you borrow it. Or you can buy it on Amazon, and if you have Prime, it’ll get to you by tomorrow!

And with that, my list is complete. What are your December favorites? Let me know by commenting on this post!

*I wasn’t paid to review any of this stuff – I’m not famous enough for that (yet).*
